CRN M/Y RIO, the 62-metre steel and aluminium superyacht designed and built by CRN, has been awarded the Best Naval Architecture, Displacement Motor Yachts prize at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. The ceremony, held on 8 February at the Superyacht Design Festival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, recognised RIO’s innovative naval architecture, advanced engineering solutions, and elegant design. The award highlights CRN’s ability to transform an owner’s vision into a unique work of art, reflecting its superb design and build quality. The jury commended the vessel’s efficient design, reduced resistance, judicious weight distribution, and fuel consumption of under 200 l/h at 10 knots. Collaborating with Omega Architects and Pulina Exclusive Interiors, CRN designed a visually stunning yacht with a sporty personality, flowing hull lines, and full-height windows, creating an expansive feel and dynamic fluidity. RIO accommodates up to 12 guests in six luxurious cabins and is fully compliant with IMO Tier III international regulations, reducing harmful emissions by 70%. RIO exemplifies CRN’s supreme construction expertise, flexible thinking, and state-of-the-art technology.
